Hey guys.
Dearest HANers:
As many of you know, I work in non-profit education during out of school time. I have been with my current agency for nearly 9 years. I started as a part time staff tutoring while going to college and now currently running an after school and summer program, and I also train other after school sites on running effective science enrichment classes. I am proud and passionate about my work. I see my job as a venue to ultimately give opportunities to youth…and I believe that is powerful.
Anyways. Our agency is celebrating our 35th year of service to Berkeley and Oakland. We are fundraising money to supplement the many cuts the agency, and my programs have had to face during the last 4 years. I know times are tough for many, but I have been here for a while and thought I would ask anyways. If interested, here are a few ways we are looking for people to help. PM me if you are interested in doing any of the following…or you can post in this thread and I will PM you.
A. Buy a ticket to our 35th Anniversary dinner on June 2nd, 2011. You are most welcomed to come or you can donate your seat to someone. ($100)
B. Sponsor a youth ticket to our 35th Anniversary dinner on June 2nd, 2011. This will allow for us to invite students from our programs. ($35)
C. Buy raffle tickets from me. You do not need to be present for the raffle. Prizes include: laptop, camcorder, Lake Chabot golf passes, local museum tickets, photography session and more. ($2.00 each or 3 / $5.00)
D. Make a direct donation to our agency.
Holla!

PS. Thank you to those who have donated before or have supported me or my work in any way. It really counts! :hugglez:
