Okay so my boss is going out of town yesterday for two weeks to the carribean (sic) and out of the blue he asks me if I want to cruise his SL while he's out of town since my wife and I are going to the coast on a long weekend. DUH! so of course I take him up on it and I drop my maxima off at his house and pick up the SL. I have driven this car many times before but only while he was driving in the car with me. But let me tell you, this car is worth every penny of the $100,000.00 he paid for it. I used to think Mercedes' were overpriced but the fit and finish of this car is phenominal. My civic is quite a bit faster and I feel a little more control in the civic but it is a universe of difference between the cars. This car could cruise at 150MPH all day while my civic would likely fall apart after a few miles. The Mercedes has voice activated verything, a built in 6" monitor with phone, nav, and Bose audio with changer, and all sorts of monitors from the tire pressure to the ride height of the car plus a built in radar detector, parking guides, cruise control, and many other things. The manual shift mode is crazy and it will let you rev as if it were a manual but this car will do everything in it's power to keep the tires from spinning. The top drops in seconds and comes up in seconds with the push/lift of a button. It has 18" AMG rims with pirrelli Z rated rubber and big ol' crossdrilled rotors in the front. The brakes on this car are amazing. Where this car beats any honda/Acura is the solidity of the whole package. You could hear a pin drop while cruising at 80mph. I could go on forever. I love my civic but driving my civic after driving this car makes me feel imature. Oh, and you could be a mole and get pussy with this car. My civic is tight and gets a lot of looks but while cruising through the park yesterday chics were yelling at me and shit. My son wa slike, " Dad, why are they yelling at you?". My daughter was not impressed however she stated clearly that he hated the car. My wife does'nt get too excited about cars but she can't wait for the weekend so she can drive it down in south padre. Now if the rain will just stop by this weekend we'll be set.
This car is one bad M/F. I can't even imagine driving the SL55

Okay, well I can't post pics but it's exactly like this one minus the supercharger and some other small details. His is the sport with the AMG wheels and brakes.
