theres a kill story over on 3Si where a stock 91 VR4 held of SC S2K till about 100 or so. i like the S2K alot (reason being a nice looking convertible, and not many here in SI). but i like the Lancer alot, but for the 30k i would probably buy an STi. not too sure though i don;t have the money i'm broke h:

The S2000 isn't a straight-line oriented car.

the evolution isnt exactly a first year car
its been in europe and japan for years, and its mechanically identical(except for some emissions requirements) to the evolution VII. i havent read about any reliability issues whatsoever in the evolutions. that being said GET ONE!

I was talking about how that S2k with the Comptech s/c got beat by a supposedly stock '91 3000GT VR4. The S2k sucks in a straigh line because you have to dump the clutch at 5-6k rpm and make sure you don't roast the tires or bog it.

...more like Honda engines last longer than Mitsu engines

all engines last long. its a matter of how well you take care of it and how much stress you put on the engine. (overboosting/overrevving)

well not beat more like, if the race was longer the S2000 would have eventually took the lead. i'm gonna try and find the link.
