after i watched it on hydrocodene it has never been the same.

 

Just bought the DVD of one of my favorite movies as a kid because I caught the tail end on TCM . In the last week I think I watched it about 4 times, and I might watch it again tonight. So, how 'bout posting your favorite quotes from the movie, or talkin' about your favorite memories. I forgot what a cute little hottie Sally Field was in her day!

Unfortunately, the unedited version is actually edited from the master cut. You can see where the overdubs were..... if you read lips, the overdubs were terrible. The original cut was 2 hours and obviously had seriously more cussing (where Junior says "That's a good idea" and Sheriff Justice says "What the hell do you know", it's actually "What the fu-k do you know?" and the overdub is a different person.... very different). After the first couple of months, Universal did a re-edit, cut out Bandit banging Frog and some other chase scenes, and overdubed the worst of the cussing to get a PG rating from it's original R and thus a broader audience. Those who saw the original say it's even more fun and exciting. That original cut has been sitting in Universals vaults for 26 years and it's about time it was remastered for 5.1. The current disc is only 2.0 mono.

 

Isn't this thread more popular???? Just 'cause ya'll drive Hondas don't mean you can't watch a movie with old American muscle. Hell, this movie still beats Fat and Frivolous.
