Shit was WAAAAAAAAAAAAY different in every way possible. Im not saying that in a negative way at all, just sayin life is opposite in every aspect. However, I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The ONLY problem I see with moving/working there....is the heat/humidity. I was offered two jobs and I have time to think about it. I have high doubts though because Im acclimated to SD weather. We shall see.

Oh - had catfish, grits, and crawfish and loved it all. One thing I didnt see much of - hot chicks. What gives?

did you go to Baton rouge, plenty of chicks at/around LSU The weather sucks horridly. I would move to Cali just for the weather. but I do love the food here. Too bad we couldn't hang out, I would have taken you to a restaurant or two.

The heat is a deal breaker for some. I moved there from central IL, and dude I was DYING. It took me about a month to almost get used to it, but now I love it. Humidity is boss.
It does get to suck though, come early november. You're still sweating and you're thinking, "wtf I should be wearing a sweater right now".

If you would have gone to a legit college campus, like mine or LSU, you would have been swimming in it.

I love everything about this place. It really takes about a year being here to experience all it has to offer. It's different than any place in the world, that's for sure. Go 100 miles east to Mississippi, and it's different. 200 miles west to Texas, way different. It's like a little sweet spot of good food, acceptable social drinking, and nice people.

I was on the skirts of Baton Rouge but it seemed like people were on vacation or something. In fact, now that I think about it, even while shopping for food and beer and shit, it was empty at most places. Maybe the holiday weekend? Oh, and I nearly shit myself when I saw that I could buy a .50cal sniper rifle at Cabela's. Hahahaha.
