Do any of you play games with high frame rates (driving games, HL, RTCW, etc.) or watch DVD's on your LCD's? I'm asking because I don't want to ship my monitor to S.C. because it's beginning to show signs of age (slight ghosting, needing to de-gauss more frequently, etc.) and I really like the idea of having a 19" LCD with the same screen real-estate as a 21" monitor.

Those with LCD's please state the make, model, and size please.

I haven't played any games but I've watched plenty of DVDs and videos and it's fine.

Provided the LCD has a reaction time of 25ms or faster. Fuji has a nice one with 18ms?

Dell UltraSharp 1900FP19"
Planar 19" 191M

also make sure the contrast ratio is 300:1 or higher. Both of the above are 450:1 or 500:1 and 25ms reaction time.

Played RTCW and Half-Life a little with mine @ 1280x1024 with graphic quality as high as my card (9600pro) can handle...no problems at all.
Dell 19" LCD like DakarM's.

hrm... I see a trend forming...

I have a Dell (Trinitron) 17" monitor... 1280x1024 is what I run at as well... maybe a Dell would be a good choice?

How much did you guys pay for your LCD's and where did you get them (and when)?

I got the Dell from umm Dell of course It was $640 or so with bunch of discounts but the 19" is made by Samsung for Dell. For $680 my friend got the Samsung model (looks exactly the same) but with the wall mount and swivel mount. I'm not sure where he got if from he never told me :dunno:

This was about 2months ago.

1 week later I bought the Planar for $580 again with bunch of discounts.
