its very possible. as long as you use the correct type of upercharger (ie the jrsc kind, not the vortech kind [sorry i dont know the proper terms]) and necessary fuel and ingition supply and control then its very possible.

i asked a few knowledgable people about this and the general consensus (unanimous) is that its a waste of time and money.

i still want to do it, eventually.

ive heard of it, never seen it. people assume the SC will help fight the turbo lag...but to me it just seems it would be more bog..

I've only heard of it on small displacement engine. Like the Japan only 660cc micro cars. But it's not that impressive because those engine/cars are only limited to like 65hp max.

You do get a nice flat torque curve but not much else.

Spanky: I think you mean positive displacement roots type S/C? versus centrifugal? or maybe I have that backwards :dunno:

roots type:

centrifugal type looks like the compressor half of a typical turbo setup.


but to me there are better ways of increasing the low end before the bigger turbo comes up to boost. such as a N2O or increasing the displacement :chuckles:
