I'm at my friend's house and on a dial-up connection:ugh: can't get on speedguide.net for a couple tweaks and it take's days to load a page, well it feels that way

I've had cable for like 2 years and before that I was in a dorm with a T1 line. I coerced my parents into getting a cable modem at their house about a year ago.

 

There's not much "tweaking" that can be done for a dialup connection.

Call the telco and get a line quality check, the phone line itself is the biggest part that slows you down.

yeah well, i have been stuck on 56k for about 9 months now. they dont offer anything else on the side of the highway i live on.

 

 

i was on cable for a year and then moved back to dayton and got stuck on 56ghey,...then i move out to iowa with my girl and she had cable,...now im back in ohio and back on 56ghey and it SUCKS,...its okay,..im getting cable at the end of this year when my girl moves over

 

I used to have 26.4k and people will get hurt before I go back (cable).

 

I remember being on dial-up... It wasn't fun.
