Did anyone esle see it??? It was by far the best episode i have seen.

the goal was to build a car to compete in a drag race(1/8 mile), 10 laps around a short road coarse, and 10 laps irwindale speedway(oval track).

the teams were composed of pit crews from a NHRA dragster team, a IRL team, and a NASCAR team.

i was rooting for the indy team with their bike engine powered MR car. the spanked the other teams on the road coarse by almost 30 seconds with a spin out. but were taken out on the first turn of the oval track when the nascar team lost it and ran into them, breaking the indy's rear axle.

the nascar team won in the end, but it probably would have been really close if the indy team was still in there.

Kind of sucked that one of the cars didn't get to fully compete but it seemed like a cool episode.

 

I saw it, that guy in the blue car was a shitty driver, pissed me off that he won because he took out the red guy. And WTF was with the last race being worth so many points?

 

I saw that last stages of building and all the races. If the tranny on the Indy car wasn't screwed up and they had set up the suspension a little bit better it would have owned.

The guy in the blue car was so ****ed up over the crash. So :ghey:. Just get over it, it wasn't a big deal, and race.

 

well, once the indy car got going, they were able to get it into second. they just had to learn to get through the false neutral.

 

I seriously question racing heads-up on the oval course, especially when you have open wheel cars. :eh:

And what's more, the Stock Car Stars KNEW that car was "loose" on right turns, and by design, had plenty of grip on the left turn banking... so what that Stock Car fool thought he was doing taking a high line to pass the Indy Idols car, I'll never understand.
From what I saw, I'd say it was dammed near deliberate. :angry:

All in all, it was a kick-ass show. I'd have run the oval track competition solo, racing against the clock, under the same point structure.

My 2˘, anyway.

 

And yes, going with a rigid chassis definitely hurt the Indy team...God that bike engine sounded fantastic.

 

I recorded it lastnight and just watched it. it was good. Suprised no one said anything about the 2F2F spots for each comercial. LOL

Anyone notice the T-shirt Paul Walker was wearing??? West Coast Choppers. :thumbup:
