Default The numbers tell a tale...

... of how messed up we are. More people voted for American Idol than they did for the Presidential election. So I guess people care more about who is the next idol than who will be leading the nation.

And if its a repost then bite me, I am on a 56k line instead of my cable modem and it takes eons for me to do something as simple as loading HAN.

Is it really that surprising? The average human being is not that intelligent of a creature.

Most of the people that voted are probably below 18 years of age.

actually its abou t150,000x easier to vote for idol than it would be for me to go in and vote for the president. its a case of laziness.

I also kind of find this unsettling. I would hope others would recognize the importance of someone leading our nation with the proper insights and goals, then to have some TV show lead the nation in votes.

Then again though how hard is it to vote from the phone or text message your vote. Although that is no excuse in my mind atleast.
