Rick, will this PCI NIC be adequate for my house? It's 165ft indoor range. The router is downstairs near the front of the house, my room is upstairs towards the rear of the house, so it's about 50-55ft between the two and one level. The tech guy at Office Depot was recommending a USB since there is about 6ft of play to move it around for better use. Thing is, I want to use my USB connection for a digital camera. h:

get a USB hub if you need more USB ports...if you want, i have an extra PCI adapter thatll give you 2 extra USB 2.0 ports.

Well it would be better to have the router upstairs. You can also try mounting the router upside down and as highest possible.

No I didn't.

I said I prefer USB because of the flexibility. But 6ft isn't going to make a whole lot of difference. I would say for your use, it should be fine with the PCI.
