BYU has a pretty strict code but most students that attend there don't have a hard time following them. And as has been said, Davies knew what he signed up for. Hopefully they'll allow him to remain in school, though it's likely going to be all up to him and what attitude he has about his goof up.

It's good to see most (not all, but most....) of you on this forum are mature enough to understand that. You don't have to agree with a religion, but it's given that you have to follow their rules if you attend their school (again, already been said).

 

OK, so I assumed that BYU was just making an example of him because he's a high-profile case. But they were talking about it on the radio the other day and a bunch of BYU alumni called/emailed in and said, no actually the honor code is the real deal and they will reprimand Joe Shmoe student for violating it, or even kick him out if it's that bad. So I guess I'm fine with it. If I were a rising star athlete, I would choose a school where you're allowed to knock boots. Hell, I'd choose a school with a questionable "recruiting policy," if you know what I mean :naughty:

More of an attack on BYU followed by and "understanding".

 

Guy I knew in middle and high school went to BYU one of the straightest arrows you ever saw. Came back totally into drugs, dosed on acid and mushrooms a lot there, or so he said.

 

They should suspend him just for being named Jimmer....that's gotta be some kind of violation o:
