Been here almost a week, haven't done much because the plane ride was aweful and my ears have been killing me! The captain forgot to unpressurize the cabin when we were decending into the airport

Its cold, but a really dry cold! I think its 45 outside right now. I'll take some pictures with my friends digital camera the moutains ARE HUGE! Looks like beach sand on top of them.

its so nice up here, you should. There are a lot of chinese resturants up here, like on every corner... service in resturants is nothing like where i am from, people are just rude. Other than that, its SUPER nice. I'll take the camera with me today and take some more.

Whats really cool is, its really not that cold. It says 50, but it feels like 70, with no humidity. You'd love it!!

 

seen much of the wildlife up there? i remember seeing a mountain goat on the way to the cabin i was staying at. also one of those picture perfect moments(when i didn't have my camera) i was out on a river fishing and saw a bald eagle going to its nest in a tree off of the river. it was one of those god bless america moments. anyways, glad you're enjoying all the chinese food alaska has to offer!

 

no, i haven't seen anything yet... barely been off base to do anything, THOUGH, i am going up to the moutains some time this week to see the snow, and *hopefully* i will see a bear or something. The closest thing i have seen to an animal is some bear shit :lmao:

 

i didn't see any bears when i was there, not even any bear shit :sad:

so what do you do all day on the base? sounds a bit dull..
