aight so i buy a laptop off ebay.. its all good i get stuff on it and what not, having a good ole time and whatever.. then only half the memory (of 256mb) decides to load instead of all of it ... so luckily i bought a NEW warranty.. they tell me i gotta send it to some place in california to get it looked at and fixed.. fixed? either its the dimm or the socket, if its the socket i need a whole new mother board.. ok fine.. so i get a call today (4 weeks after i sent it in) from a dude saying they couldnt fix it so they are sending me a check for what i paid for it.. ok :wtf: i haev stuff on there that i'd rly like.. but the place that has it charges $250/hr to "rescue" my files.. so i ask if they could just send me the laptop and keep the money.. nope, no such luck.. very stoopid.. they are sending the money.. so i call the shop (market west or some ish) to see if i cant buy the laptop from them and the dude says he calls me back after he finds out...

3 hours later i call him and he says "oh yea my supervisor says we cant sell it to you".. hmm ok so i hang up.. my dad tips me the idea of asking for the supervisor.. so i call back and ask for the supervisor (a diff person answers this time, a lady) and the first dude gets on..i say "is the the supervisor?" "yes it is" ok so can i buy it from you? "its policy that you cant" who's policy? "my boss's" whats yer boss's name? linda.. is linda there? no.. when will she be? not to day........

i said ok i'll call monday and talk to linda, the dude said that they just plan on throwing it away... so why the **** would "linda" not want to sell it to me for a couple hundred bucks? the dude said she'd say the same thing he is.. i said **** that i'll call monday...

Ha ha, their probably going through all the porn you had on it, that's why they don't want to give it back. Just out of curiosity, what kind of laptop was it? I bought a Dell Inspiron 8200 off there a few months ago and I love the damn thing. Seeya.

 

may be they affraid that you'll use the BAD laptop to sue or do something against them.:eh:

 

perhaps they claimed it for insurance loss. if they get caught selling it back to you they can expect to go to federal **** me in the ass prison.

its a latitude cpx 650 p3... i have bid on another one.. this one has a bigger hard drive. but only 128mb... i can upgrade.. after all thats all that loaded in the old one lol... so **** em i dont care anymore.. :fawk: market west
