Egypt turns off the internet...
Not sure if any of you guys heard of this, following it, or care... but there is some serious shit going down in Egypt this week, today especially.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Egyptian_protests
The government shutdown mobile networks, internet, and even phone lines.
This is all 'legal' during a martial law... but the country has been under martial law since like 1970.
They even set a curfew starting at 6pm, starting today... thats in like 30 minutes from now...
things are about to heat up :nervous:
its one of the US's few "allies" in the middle east... Tunisia had a similar thing happen last month and their president got kicked out of office... Egypts president is facing the same fate .... i dont think these people will stop till he's gone.... (his son - so called successor - has already fled the country)

It was already in the stone age. Alot of the population consider Hosni Mubarak a puppet to Israel & USA. If his distatorship falls the successors could be the Muslim Brotherhood. This could become a major disater for the USA and Israel. So i'm guessing the current gov with the help from Israel and USA are trying to calm the situation, block all communication and try to take control of the country.

I dont know all that much about the situation but it seems like it can become very dangerous very fast. Tunisia had no real anti zionist movements. Muslim Brootherhood of Egypt is a power organisation... My guess is that mubrarak might be keeping on to power in order to get a new moderate goverment in power.
