yes i've also read something around these lines in my old sociology class in high school.

neo = means new (new god perhaps)
green is an on going color etc....etc.

it's also an all too obvious throw back to "through the looking glass" which had its very own biblical implications. (aside from being completely ****ed up)

They gotta get the inspiration for the idea from somewhere.

This reminds me of English class. You sit and analyze the shit out of everything and get onto these grand ideas about broad overreaching concepts all from like nothing. The first step is saying "the author couldn't possibly have intended all this crap you guys are spewing" and then you just say "I don't care if this was intended or not, I'll spew this crap too because that's how you get a good grade."

I was talking about finding connections between the Matrix and that other thing.

Just like in English class it's more about making conceptual associations rather than questioning about the author's intent.
