I got a speeding ticket last week for $323.

I don't want to pay it, but I aint gonna bitch about it cause I WAS speeding. They did it en mass... 8 other cars pulled over same time as me. Any ideas how to argue it? I will take it to court and hopefull the cop wont even show up, hopefully. But if he does... what can I say?

 

plead guilty and take it up the ass like a man. If you're lucky, the judge will reduce it by half.

 

They have speed laws in canada? :dunno: :fawk: jk dude....you can say you were being forced to speed by those around you or you would be ran off the road?

 

sucs here in cali they have a new rule about cops and them not showing up they postpone the case till the cop can get time to appear so they can defend themselves and ticket

 

oh and some times they double it. When i was down at court to fight a ticket a couple years back they double a ladies ticket because she was trying to get it dropped or lessen and this was her second time driving with out a lic so he doubled it to teach her not to do it again

 

see if you cant get defensive driving. but your ticket might be too much for that. but, hey, its worth a shot.

My business teacher told me this story about a blonde girl from the US. She was traveling through Canada at 100 mph. When the cop pulled her over and ask why she was speeding she said that she wasn't speeding. Even the sign post that speed limit is 100. The cop told her that it is 100 KMH not MPH. So he let her go.

 

Do community service.
I went to court and told them that I was a poor college student and the judge only gave me 18 hours of community service for a 350 tickets =) WOOHOO

$323 Canadian is only like $5 in the US. That's cheap for a ticket.
