yeah, don't use 80 grit, but there is something called wetsanding which gets out scratches :doh:

freaking peeps who have no clue about detailing...

however, all the morons bitching about how dumb it was to come up with sandpaper obviously don't know about wetsanding. so the original poster (assuming it's real), isn't the only idiot.

Werd, if it's a deep scratch, you can tell if it needs to be wetsanded. Of course light scratches can be taken out by compound and a rag or buffer. But deeper ones need to be taken out with wetsanding. That's the thing that got me in that thread, everyone was ragging on him about coming up with sandpaper, yet they seem to not know shit about detailing. They all probably talk to some dude at pepboys about generic scratch remover ish...
