Default Look at what i bought :)

ive been itching to spend some money, and since im in a holding pattern with my CRX, i decided to treat myself to something non-car related. So i got a 10GB iPod on saturday! :-D

It's soo nice.. ive already synced it up to my MAC, and have music, contacts, and my calendar in it already.

here's a pic of the new ones:

and the best part was i got a free poster and a T-Shirt with the new iPod! leftovers from last week  i can't wait to get the car adapter and import the rest of my CDs to my computer.. i will never have to burn CDs again! :fawk:

Not a fan of apple, but that's not to say they have a nice idea every now and then. The iPod, while ugly and has a stupid name... seems like a nice device.

Now apples rippoff music service... all I can say about that is, if you think it's a deal or like it... try going to prison for a few years and getting rammed from Bubba a few times.... it's less rape than what Apple is doing.

dude, what do you mean ripoff service?? its legit. you buy the music off the store for download.. they have the support of the big 5 record labels.. and for 99¢ a song or $9.99 for the record its that bad..

but im glad you like the iPod  i've got 3.8GB so far on it.. more to come

Oh I know it's legit and legal... but that's such a ripoff price. It's not a deal. Not by far.

So your paying just under $1 per song. So lets figure for a sec here... average amount of songs per cd is 15. So that's $15 right there... ok so you may be saving $1-4 if you bought it right from a store. Not too much of a savings... PLUS if you want to have that music on a cd.... guess who's paying for that too? You. You have to pay for the pc, the burner, and the media.

So your still averaging $15-25 PER CD. I don't see that as a deal one bit. Now MAYBE if they offered me the ability to do that for, average cost, $5-8 per cd... I might consider that a deal. For me, I'll save my wallet and ass from being raped and just use WinMX.

If you put 15 of your favorit songs on 1 CD for $0.99 a song you are paying about $15.00 for a CD that you created (including media). But to get all 15 songs at your local Circuit City you might need to buy 15 complete CDs...at an average cost of $12.00. That is a total of $180.00 Using the new method by Apple you could save yourself $165.00. Not to mention $0.99 is pretty cheap compaired to the maximum fine per song downloaded which is $150,000.00 I think!

i paid $299 for the 10GB at the apple store in towson town center.

clickwir:
yes, it is 99¢ per song, BUT if you want the whole disc and if apple has the whole disc at the store, its only $9.99, so that is a deal. Best Buy does that when a new disc comes out, but thats only for one day.

and dude..if youre gonna complain about the whole 25¢ for the disc or whatever, thats fine..but dont you already have a burner, and a PC, and a media player too. so i dont get that either.

and you can burn unlimited discs (you just have to change your playlist every 10 burns), unlimited iPods, and up to 3 authorized MACs.

to me, RELIABLE, HIGH Quality downloads that i know what im getting is worth the 99¢, but thats me.

rick: where can you get the 30GB for $400??
