Seattle & Vancouver peeps -- what to do?
So the wife and I are looking to spend about a week in the Seattle Vancouver area at the end of July. This will be our 1-year wedding anniversary trip. Probably 4 days in Seattle and 3 days in Vancouver. Neither of us has been to either city before.
We're just in the planning stages now, but for those of you familiar with the area what are some must-see sights/activities and what are the awesome restaurants?

Pikes place market
Worlds Fair Park - You can take the monorail to Pikes Place
Space Needle (Eat lunch/dinner in Needle. It's expensive, but worth it)
Walk the city of Seattle. There is a lot of beautiful architecture.
Tour a winery (or five)
Tour an orchard
Snowqualmie Falls

I was in seattle recently, they have some great food. Since I was only there for a short while I took a deluxe food tour where we sampled foods (and a shit load of wine) from some really nice restaurants. I would recommend that.
I Was in Vancouver this summer. Day time the market is cool... fruit, meat, candy. All fresh and smells awesome. You eat there too.

If you like oysters or even the best Caesars in the city try this place but you need reservations. We were at the bar... tight a bit but fun cause we met cool people.

Sushi is goods and cheap in the city too. Little restaurants across the city are usually good.
Rent a car and go to whistler. Tones of things to do but we just bought a bottle of white, did the peack to peak gondola and chilled at the ski chalet. Still snow in june too. Stayed at whistler for 2 nights maybe one night too much. Vancouver 3 nights was great! But cutting it by one and making Whistler is worth it.

Yeah, catch a ferry from downtown Seattle, it's a sweet way to view the city and it's cool to see some of the little island communities out in the Sound. The highlight of Vancouver to me was the food. Best sushi and indian food I've ever had for cheap! You're lucky both times I've been to Seattle/Vancouver it was January.
Sweet, thanks for the ideas guys. I'm making a list of all this stuff and hopefully we'll be able to do a good chunk of it.
We are planning on renting a car, but I don't know that we'll have the opportunity to hit Whistler. I think we'll have a hard time doing everything in Seattle & Vancouver as it is.

Gordon, I live in Seattle.. what are you and the misses trying to do? What are you two interested in? What kind of food do you like/wanna try? Go ahead and and list whatever or even send a PM and I can try to get you information as best as I can. Seattle's a great place and a lot of fun stuff to do
This is going to be our 1-year anniversary trip, so we are looking for a relatively laid-back, romantic, sight-seeing type of trip. We like to see the sights, get a feel for the city, walk around a lot, eat, maybe see a show or go whale watching, that type of thing. Not really into bars or clubs. I've heard good things about the sushi and pizza in Seattle, so would definitely like to try some of that. We are also down for Mexican, Italian, steak, American, Indian... we'll basically eat anything.
