Default Help - Network Settings

I'm running windows Me and I can never connect to any filesharing programs.. Kazaa, Piolet, Morpheus... the only thing that works for me is WinMX which is really slow and annoying. I also have a lot of problems with sending and recieving files as well. This is a repost i know but I havent been able to get anywhere with it..

I have 2 computers on a network in my house.. I'm running them through a router and there both on the same IP. But for some reason on one of them I can never connect to anything. I thought it had something to do with a firewall, but I was wrong... It's just my network settings...

Is there anyone out there that knows anything about this? what should I change so that I can make this work!!!

any help would be greatly appreciated..

cheers..

are they both running me? and if you take the router out of the network, can the computers connect to the filesharing stuff? (by taking the router out, i mean hooking the computer directly up to the modem (cable or dsl or whatever))

You sure there's no passive mode on Kazaa? I remember I had to enable passive mode on one of the file sharing programs because I was behind a router.

Kazaa is poop. Get Direct Connect, set it to passive mode.
