well i had set the alarm for 0555 my time so i could get up & right before midnite eastern time to call the girl & wish her happy new year. i ended up not going to sleep & texting some friends. i was chatting w/ the girl on yahoo when i noticed it never went off, so i checked that it was set, so looked to see if phone was on vibrate & it wasn't. started playing around with it & couldn't get it to go off so did a google search & came across the link i posted

with the repeat, it still goes off on the next time the set time comes around, even if that isn't a day set for the repeat.....hence the definition of repeat, it repeats on a specified day. but the alarm won't go off unless you have it set for repeat & one of the repeat days is a weekend day.

to just save trouble, i set alarms to repeat every day & then turn em off if i don't want it on a certain day

**update**

out of curiosity, i just set an alarm for 1 minute later w/ no repeats & it worked as it should, so maybe it was just a 1 jan 11 thing :dunno:
