What I believe was a 98-99 or something Mitsubishi Mirage all done up like it was an Evo... I thought that no Evo's were released in the US other then the VIII. It was LHD, and had the right hood, front body pieces, wing, and it looked very right. I'm thinking EvoIV. It had me convinced today, but then I was out at a book store looking for more Initial D, and I saw a Mirage and it had the same headlights, taillights, and body style. I'm too lazy to look it up, so were there other Evo's in the US?

its probably just a body kit to look like the actual EVO. theres a red one around here in Irvine as well. i think theres a black one too somewhere around in OC.

 

evo kits look nice on mitsubishis. especially on galant vr-4s

there's one in socal that took the whole EVO 5 conversion from a crashed EVO into his Mirage. Looks and performs pretty sweet.

 

Yes. with a CF hood, and some silver wheels, I think they were like, 6 or 7 spoke.

All in all, it was a pretty nice lookin car. Looked pretty similar to the Evo IV in the Initial D game. That's why it really had me goin'. The hood, front/rear kit, and wing were all exact. I'm going from memory (since I haven't raced that dude in ID in a while) but I think the taillights were the same, too.
