70. I'd keep it colder if it weren't for the chirrens.
I used to have to keep it at 75 for the birds in the winter . . . once i saw what that was going to cost me they got sent up the parents for winters to reside with their sisters.
68 when Im aroudn but my goddamn chick roommate gets cold and hikes that shit up to like 76 (but feels like 83 given with crosswinds and dog farts and shit like that - inside joke time)
we don't really have a heater, so whatever our house is at is where we keep it. we do have a fireplace, so we use that. and we have a gas wall heater that we can turn on if it's freezing, but we generally don't like to use that. i'd say it's usually around 50's to 60's in our house.
yeah, i totally agree that cooler temperatures promote better sleep (it's tough for me to sleep if it's over something like 70°), but sub 60's is pushing it for me i don't want to overcompensate by being buried under hot blankets, either
plus it makes getting out of bed that much more difficult
it does make it really hard to get out of bed, but i don't struggle too often, plus i work at 1, so i could really sleep till noon if i wanted to
i depend less on what the thermostat says, and more on what i feel at the time. if im cold and its 70' in the house, ill turn it on. if im hot and it says 65', i'll leave it off.
