Take angst with the Gawker president for running his mouth. This is all on him and that management team for picking an unnecessary fight.
I know... but still sucks that my info would leaked like that. It certainly doesn't make the public side with 4chan right? Just saying that if they were to atleast not publish all members info just the employees. Then issue a warning that you have info on all member that have posted a comment on Gizmodo... it would get alot more public attantion and support.

while the dude asked for it . . . you can't sit there and say 'oh 4chan is free of guilt blame that guy' that's just retarded. they knew exactly what they were doing and it had nothing to do with the company. had they gone after solely employees and management i'd be agreed with you

This has everything to do with the company. Compromise the database, lose subscribers, take the entire thing down.

The membership database is the most valued asset they have.

The membership database has people in it ... fine. It's the duty of the company to protect the asset and not put it in danger.

What kind of fucktard challenges 4chan to hack their site?

It's like telling the Military "I bet you can't fly that missile down my throat".

oh come on drew, thats all fine and true but it doesnt mean you put zero blame on 4chan

that's like saying that the guy who robs a bank isnt guilty because the bank should have protected the money better.
