Went out for bag of milk/house/property/what?
So after getting married July 31st, and after going to Europe for the honeymoon, the woman and I came back to the states and bought a house the following weekend. We closed and took possession on September 22nd, and moved in over that weekend. So I know it's been 2 months and I'm only now getting around to posting pictures, but such is life.
4 bedroom + office
3.5 bath
3780 sf
0.33 acres
in Golden, CO.

Front

Half bath/powder room immediately to your left upon coming int.

Laundry room just after that. New Samsung high-efficiency washer and dryer -- we had to buy these because the place didn't come with a set. But I love these things -- fast, quiet, and efficient.

Office just past that. I love the double-desk setup, both the wife and I can be in here working on stuff at the same time.

Or I can be playing Civilization 5 and watching football at the same time that she is working, which seems to often be the case.

Back toward the door we find the family room.

Family room opens up to the kitchen.

and the breakfast nook.

Kitchen is pretty sweet, but I'll be putting a gas range in before too long.

Deck just off the kitchen. Bought a brand new Weber Genesis to fill up the space. used it a ton in September & October, but it's just getting too cold now.

Dining just through the kitchen.

Formal Living attached to dining Room.

Now we'll head upstairs, where all 4 bedrooms are.

Guest bedroom #1 to the right. Vicki was taking these photos and didn't really get a good shot of this room.

More of guest bedroom #1.

Guest bedroom #2, aka "where we put the futon and some other random furniture we had."

Guest bathroom in between bedrooms. Would've preferred an additional bathroom up here, as it is basically one bathroom for 3 bedrooms. But at least it has double sinks and a separate room for the toilet and shower.
Then imagine a smaller, totally empty bedroom in between this bathroom and the master bedroom. For some reason Vicki didn't take a shot of this.

And into the master suite. I'd tell Black2kGSR that this is where the magic happens and someday he may get to experience it, but even that joke is no longer valid.

We bought the bedspread like 6 months before we moved in, and Vicki refused to use it claiming it was "for the new house."

Master bath. This will be the first remodeling project in the house -- it's clear that at some point they did some work on this room themselves, and some of it is really shoddy. You can even see how uneven some of the counter tilework is in this pic.

And the damn gold shower and tub fixtures have got to go.

Master Closet. I finally don't have to keep my things in the guest bedroom closet!

Now we head to the basement.

Where you are immediately greeted by a nice wetbar.

And around the corner you have this ginormous open space. See that far wall? Well I may have purchased some home theater items on Cyber Monday that should fill that space nicely. Keep your eyes peeled in a week or two for another thread. :rick:

At the far end of the basement is a pretty sweet bathroom.

And in the middle is a nice walk-out, with a big concrete pad and a staircase leading to the deck off the kitchen.
Now for some of the view/yard shots:

View of the back yard from the walk-out basement.

Another shot of the back yard from the kitchen/breakfast nook.

View from the master bedroom.

This looks pretty sweet at night when everything lights up.

aaaand the best view in the house, from the master bath. This is really the only place where you get any mountain views.

While we are technically in Golden, we're on the Denver/Lakewood side of things and probably about 4 miles from the Coors factory. I haven't been able to smell it yet, but we'll see what happens next summer when things heat back up.
