Default Snowboard Krew v.Season is here!

The season is finally here! Been DUMPING in tahoe. 10 feet in the last week, plus a little more yesterday/overnight. Everything is open or opening today.

Got my season pass to Kirkwood...hopefully heading up next week. When/where are you guys riding?

fuuuuuuuck I can't wait but I'll be lucky if I get decent conditions by December.

boards are ready to go:

I might plan a trip to Whistler this winter, never been out west so this could be a fun opportunity.

I love Kirkwood. Never lift lines, super easy to get in and out, and the best snow in Tahoe. Drive is easier too for day trips. I used to ride Squaw a lot when I was younger...good mountain, but I like Kirkwood better.

but no palisades...

still better than anything inbounds around here though
im not expecting to get many days early this yr, spring pass and a few random deal days to tide me over

snow in town though, and might head out into the hills to build up a little kicker or some rails if i can find some trashed twins somewhere to mount up...

park rats, how do you detune edges? underfoot only? full side? gummy? diamond? im clueless on the ways of the tall-tee

I was wondering the same thing...cause I was thinking about turning my old board into a spring/park board. I used a file, then diamond, then gummy detuning the contact points/tip/tail. Park rats probably detune their whole edge. I would probably lean toward the normal contact/tip/tail and between the bindings.
