derivative of x ---> 1
derivative of x^2 ---> 2X
derivative of x^3 ---> 3X^2

and so on...

Yeah...we're working with:

absolute max/min
prove that using f'(x) and f"(x)
locate inflection points of the graph
locate critical points (of course)

derivatives of e^x and e^kx

find change in y (delta) using f'(x)delta x
using the prev formulas, find C(x), C'(x) with given functions

that amongst other crappers

I think my weakest point is the section with e^kx where k is in a form of (x-y)^z....I sometimes blank out and can't carry the differentiation Oh well, just need a C for this class

isn't the derivative of e^x simply e^x? maybe i'm wrong. i've been out of calculus for nearly 2 years now

it is, but it can get complicated when you get things like

f(x)=4x^4 * -2e^-2x^2+4x
find f'(x)

It's not hard, but one little mistake and you'll screw up the entire deal.

Anyway, I finished the test 5 minutes before the class ended. I checked every answer.

Though I think I screwed up on a minimize problem. I don't minimize....I maximize.... hehehe I've neglected to look at minimizing problems Oh well, hopefully I can score a 90 or better. This will secure my passing grade since I got an F the first exam, a B the second, and this is the third.

1 more exam and the final is all I have left.
