if you build it, they will come. i find that when a programs open up at a school, kids who wants to join will join, then there are kids who join because their friends join, then there are kids whos parents are forcing them to join for encouragement or babysitting.

either way, there are kids who will benefit from, and those who will take up space for the time being.

help the smart kids advance. the at-risk are a lost cause h:. i know because i went through school in that kind of environment.

hah. i wouldnt say lost cause. theres a lot in some of the ones that would seem hopeless on the outside.

i find that some of those "at risk" kids are only at risk because of the shat they deal with at home. otherwise...they are great kids. blame the parents. h:
