Default Best PC (Mobo+ram+proc+case) for $300-400

Can yall recommend some configurations, the best i can do is from newegg

GA-7VAXP ULTRA mobo
Geil 400 ddr 512mb ram
and a 2500+ barton care
with case

for like around 370
I have a P3 so i don't have a preference between
P4 or athlon XP, i dun really know which one is best but i've been reading AMD is better

but the neccessities are DDR400 and AGP 8x
i have an extra HDD laying around and an extra ATi 7000 (sux ass i know, i'll upgrade to a 8x card later, maybe when the 256mb cards come out:yumyum: ) thats why i just need those parts only.

I've been thinkin about buying from a store (i.e. dell) but the software is too much, warranty is too much, they arent using the DDR400 or the 800mhz fsb yet on their dimension 8300(and i've read its good but not great wit the 800fsb).

barton has been out for a while now and it's not 64bit

SledgeHammer aka Opteron = 64-bit

yep i did the search as well :exnbp:

but i don't know what the point is. since for destop not many OS supports 64-bit processors :dunno: i guess that's why they support 32-bit natively.
