Default How does this computer sound

Asus - A7N266 Motherboard with NVidia Gforce chipset, integrated audio, video and lan.

AMD Athlon XP 2000+ processor

512mb pc2100 ddr

either a 4 or 14 gig HD (haven't decided on which to give them yet)

52x cdrom / floppy drive

microsoft keyboard and infared mouse

Mid Tower Case

windows xp pro. / office xp / norton antivirus... other software.

All for around $300.
I'm making a pc for my sister and her husband and their kids to use,and I'm trying to make it pretty cheap, I thought this sounded good, thought I'd see what you guys thought.

sounds good. whats with the whimpy HD. i wanna see how the video is on the n-chipsets. i hear they are like geforce 2 gts. :dunno:

if you wanna make it cheaper, save $50 and get a xp1600.

thought about it, but I don't care, our parents are paying for it and I'm putting it together. I told them I could get a decent system built for them for 300 and was willing to split the price and they said they'd just give me 300 to buy everything if I do all the work

it's pretty much a housewarming present to surprise them with, I took their POS system last week and told them I was going to fix it, they're moving into a new house on sat.

4 gig aint gonna cut it, even for parents. i gave my 6 year old sister a 20.

That is a very small hard drive. This is a bottom of the line system but take a look at this:
