whatsa FTP?

i found a site, i think, w/ a special vid i want/need but not sure how to get into it. how do you work it? the guy gave me a username & password & site address

try typing ftp://the adress into your browser then enter the stuff.

If not, download a FTP client from download.com.

its called File Transfer Protocol. It's a means of uploading files to the web.

also downloading..and not necessarily to the web. HTTP is a different protocol than FTP.
