dammit my wisdom teeth just got pulled and it's the second day and my mouth won't stop bleeding....it's pissing me off cause the dentist had to break one of my teeth and had to dig for another....argh i can't eat anything and was supposed to start work tomorrow....blah!

No drinking from straws. That'll cause the blots to come lose and bleed. Actually, no "sucking" at all. Just kind of place stuff in your mouth (you're probably eating soup). I had my wisdom teeth pulled last summer and my mom has a degree in dental assisting so I did everything right, apparenty. Haw.

 

Sucking on anything will also give you dry socket.

 

Which I'm told by my fellow wisdomers that it is not fun.

 

I've got all 4 pulled out at once. Your suppose to put ice on it for the first 24 hours. Its like 10 minutes on and 10 minutes off or switch sides every 10 minutes. Make sure you don't eat anything too hot or too cold. And I think your suppose to rinse with salt water.

Just get plenty of sleep.

At the follow-up appt. they'll set you up w/ some codeine, if not already.

i dont remember too much. i was soooo doped up on hydrocodone.

 

they put me under when I had mine pulled. they lady couldn't find my vein because they already had me on the sleepy gas so I had a ton of track marks.

 

i had to take a couple days off work.
