How big of an area are you trying to cover (house, apartment, etc)? I have just had a Belkin that I think was like 60$ for the last 2 apts that I've lived in, and its worked great. Has about 4 or 5 ports on the back and I can run my XBL, laptop, ipad, etc all at the same time and havent had any problems.

I just worked on a repeater this weekend. It was a PITA, but works pretty well once it's set up.

-Main one is T-Mobile edition with a buttload of RAM
-Other two are used as switches
