Default Easy to hot wire my own car?

Someone this evening tried to steal my car :madfawk: Nothing was missing, or broken except the ignition is jacked up from what looks like a screw driver.

I can't start it, and I want to move it to a friends house so its in a safer place until I can get the ignition fixed, and an alarm put on it...Without having to tow it...

Its a 96 Accord DX sedan..Is it easy to hot wire? I'm just wondering if I would cause more damage and in the end more money to get it fixed than it would to tow it somewhere...but the thing is I might have to tow it somewhere after that if I can't get a guy to fix it there. Save at least 100 bucks in a couple of tows.

I know its f'd up, but I don't expect anyone to tell me exactly how to do it. I mean if you want to see pictures I'll post pictures of the ignition haha...oh well, have any of you hot wired your own cars?

There are like 3 wires on your ignition that control all that stuff. ACCI, ACCII, and Starter wire. Take a wire stripped and strip those 3 wires and the 12+ wire. Take another piece of wire touch it to the 12+ and wrap it around the accI, and accII wire, and then touch it to the starter wire to turn on your car. However the exact colors of your ignition thing I can't tell you because I think they are different for most cars.

Well while I was at work my mom had the car towed to the dealership .. I didn't want done, cause I figured hot wiring it would have saved money on a tow, but I got it fixed same day..not bad for fixed less than 24 hours after it got jacked.

Thanks for the info bro!
