Default Air Compressors...

Any of you guys have one? I'm thinking of getting one soon, but don't exactly know what to look for. Any advice on getting a decent one for not a lot of money. Also, what are good brands, and what type should be best suited for automotive needs.

I was thinking of that. Sears is having a sale on their compressors, but what is the difference between a 2 gal., 4 gal., and a 6 gal. tank?

i have a 5 HP, 13 Gallon Husky Compressor and it works just fine for my air wrench/wrachet/misc other things, but the tank is a bit small, sometimes when i'm using it constantly, i gotta stop and wait for it to get back up to pressure.

2,4 and 6 gallons sound way too small though... are you sure those aren't HP ratings?

So would a 2 or 4 gal. suffice for a novice just working on a car?

For air ratchets, yes. For impact wrenches, no.
