I couldn't drop mine, but if I go to my inventory, pick up a tool and drop it outside of the inventory screen, it appears back in with full health.

Edit: Apparently, I was dropping it. My bad.

It looks like it only gets laggy when more than 1 person is on.

Fyi, minetracks and cars cause a lot of lag in multiplayer right now.

I was wanting to do something like that too. I was reading about it on the forums and they said its causing a lot of issues(memory leaks, same as health) on multiplayer
