Found an AWESOME slip gate glitch!

Build your own slip gate, enter it and then exit the netherworld. If it was like mine, I exited a new gate near my spawn. You can mine the obsidian from that gate. Re-enter the netherlands through your built gate and a new gate will be created. rinse and repeat and you have tons of obsidian without finding lava and killing yourself!
