another trick to getting extra stuff:

if i'm walking far, i'll drop and pickup my tools to revive them. occasionally, i'll end up with 2 tools (one in the spot i dropped it from, one in my inventory). i haven't tried with other stuff, but it does happen with tools.

Don't cut up a chest with stuff in it to move it. I lost everything from two chests trying that. Sucked. Madd gold and diamonds gone.
