it looks like something with the tool system is up.

in the latest screenshots, he has stack-able tools in his inventory (ex. 64 Diamond Pick-Axes)

Looks like a hack... I've heard some mods have stackable items in it.

Josh you should set it up so the server gets rebooted everyday at like noon or something.

Just did it and wasn't a fan of the choices...makes certain things look VERY out of place.
