i love when people get so alarmist over something like this . . . i mean the combination of the two is pretty bad but come on, who hasn't had a beer while on lunch break before. these guys went a lil overboard for sure but we've all had a beer at lunch before.
and if i worked for chrysler i'd need to drink too. the thing is, nothing will probably happen to these guys. chrysler will fire them and the UAW will get them rehired back in doing something else or probably evne the same job.
and its not just chrysler, same thing goes on with the gm plant here . . . seen it first hand plenty of times

so, it's ok for people who make cars to drink and get high on their break? and the drinking and getting high isn't going to affect their ability to make cars that are safe to drive? what happens if they miss a part that is important, ends up causing an accident and killing someone. it's cool, they were on their break.
