depends on the dish and where i'm having it
for example, if i'm eating fried chicken 99% of the time i'll order dark meat pieces unless their white meat comes out flavorful/juicy instead of dry and rubbery. and then if i'm eating italian i won't mind ordering chicken breast/white meat as the main meat b/c it's usually accompanied w/ sauce(s) and such

Dark meat has better flavor and usually has more moisture to it.
Light meat has more substance but usually ends up drier because of it's density and doesn't have much natural flavor.
