With MobileMe you can sync applications and files across multiple computers and iphones. Just set it up to sync the folders you want to.
Or you can sync the folders with DropBox or any program like it.

Assuming both your iMac and the Powerbook have Firewire, follow these instructions to put the Powerbook into target mode.
That will allow you to use the Powerbook as if it were an external HD.

Thanks. I dont think that is what I am looking for though. But that does save me the time of transferring things over an external drive.

I wanted my laptop and desktop to be mirrors of each other. If I change a document on my desktop, I want that document changed on my laptop also. I wanted them to sync with ease. But after playing around and thinking this through, I think I might be fine without this.

But it looks like I need to replace the battery already

I also have the latest OSX available for both machines...I didnt upgrade based on the whole, if it aint broke. But fuck it, I dont need it to sync anymore. Thanks, sr.

Not possible.

If i'm right, sounds like if you are working on Will.doc on PC 1, then when you get to PC2, Will.doc will be there. Also if you change the background or some items on PC2 then it'll automatically be done on PC1
