Belkin has a pretty reliable product, it should work fine for you.

Its all 10/100... your speed depends on the DSL/Cable line. Get a Linksys, they are better made and a lot less prone to screwing up. If you are looking to do a simple network a 4 port hub would do the same thing and it'll cost only $25.

I use a linksys & it works GREAT!!!

I have dsl & can do a speed test @ toast.net & get the same throughput (1300k) with my laptop on the modem or behind the router.

Is there any way to limit bandwidth on an individual port on the linksys router? For instance, if my roomate is on port 4 and I'm on 1 can I limit his bandwidth to 10kbs? When he downloads his donkey porn, he always eats up the bandwidth.

I've got a NetGear Router\5-Port Switch and a Belkin 8-port Switch, they both work just fine for me.
