Once upon a time, we fought a war so we wouldn't have to be like the brits.

Not to mention they spell tires "tyres" and use funky words like saloon (sedan) and estate (some other body style, wagon maybe?)

a saloon is a hatchback or compact car. (mini, peugot, etc)

really? dictionary.com said it was a sedan

I'm reading an RX-7 book right now that was written by a brit. It gets confusing when he uses those words to describe a car.

thats in opposition to every british magazine ive ever read, and somehow i tend not to trust ford on this issue. you might be right, but ive never seen it that way.
