Default what's so great about the cheesecake factory?

went to the cheesecake factory in santa clara for lunch today...making it my 3rd time (different locations).

my question: why do people routinely wait 2-3 hours to eat here?? the food is typical chain restaurant grade, and the service is average. hell, even the cheesecake is nothing to get excited over.

the cheesecake isn't spectacular, but they have a wide assortment of tastes and flavors. but the wait is long, the food is ordinary, everything is overpriced, and they charge 18% gratuity. i hate when they force us to tip :wtf:

Yea... I went to one in Dallas that had all hummer, MB, Rolls, and some Porches out front. I thought damn this place must be great and I felt cheap pulling up in a Lexus...

I got in there and it looked like a nice place, and everyone was ranting about the food. I can get the exact same tasting food for takeout for $50 less... wtf
