Default Computer Wizards...IE 6.0 Question

Am using IE 6.0 and XP SP1. When I open up a new window in IE, after clicking on an external link, the new window opens, but it is in the smallest size possible. Hitting maximize button makes it full screen. My computer didn't used to be this way, and I can't figure out what was done to change this, as new windows used to open full size. I can't seem to find a way to change the way the second window is being opened. Where or how can I change this? Thanks in advance.
