If the tea party is the party "being informed" how in the hell didn't they see this coming?

They need to be more vocal about it
buy a T.V. spot and explain your postion.
My guess is That they are going off of strength in numbers.
"so what if we have a few nut jobs on board so be it".
If they Really want to become the party of choice and change they have to reach out to blacks Latinos and Asians.

some of the members of the Naacp are extreme.
but they have never stood out in front of the white house with signs saying "kill that N!@@ger"

i don't think he spit on him

If I had to pick i would go with the republican party circa 1960 berfore the Dixiecrats flocked to the Republican Party and fucked it all up!

John honestly i have no opinion of them other then nut jobs. i could less what they stand for or what they represent.

i just hope this new government health care doesnt model itself after massachusetts one. if you are unemployed for more then a year you can get full everything. i know people who work under table to stay out of system so they can keep getting better benefits then me. and i pay 300 a month for mine. if thats what the tea party is fighting i might have to listen h:

they actually have gone on the record and distanced themselves from those extremes, there have even been 'minority' members of the movement who have publicly spoken about such events and defended the tea party

the problem like i stated is that the mass media sees them as an enemy . . .

and to be honest they didnt see this coming because they didnt come together as a group until all the "stimulus" spending starting coming into play. that was the straw that broke the camels back. until then they were like you and me just bitching on some internet forum.

the tea party is neither republican nor democrat. they are strongly against the way the government in general is represented. they have supported dems running for office as well.

and when they speak of the 'good ole days' again they speak of a smaller federal government. more state control, the way it's supposed to be.

I have no useful commentary to add to this discussion. So here's a picture.

Can I get some sort of citation for this?

Hitman, no offense meant, but you come across as a bit of a dumbass on this. You don't know what you are talking about and you are more than somewhat insulting. I realize the insulting bit is by design, but it discourages enlightened discussion when taken with the cluelessness.
