Just saw it. I totally appreciate a genre flick done well so a big dumb loud action movie doesn't really need a coherent plot. Badass sorta-good mercenary guys go on some kind of mission, girl gets captured by some bad guys, sorta-good mercenary guys grow a conscience and try to rescue the girl. Simple enough setup for lots of fighting and blowing shit up.

Of the 4 people I went with we all liked it, but we all agreed that too many of the action scenes were too dark, shot in too tightly, and cut up into too many quick edits to really follow the action. In particular there was one scene where Randy Coture fights Steve Austin, which was so dark that we all thought they were for some reason cutting to Terry Crews, but it was just Randy Coture with really shitty lighting.

But yeah, Sly's truck and full-auto pistols, and Statham beating up those 10 guys on the basketball court, and Terry Crews gigundous guns all were badass.

My favorite part was the axe kick by Li which broke the guy's neck. Also the full-auto shotgun was sick.

I just wish the fight scenes werent so cut up and you actually got to see most of that action. Would have also liked to see more of Lundgren (my favorite action movie star.)
