Default If I enable Hyperthreading...

...my computer keeps freezing and randomly rebooting. Sometimes automatically going into safe mode and giving me a message about Windows (XP Pro) recoving from a hardware failure. :eh:

give more details on the system hardware.

also i'm betting you have a P4 3.06 or Xeon processors since they are the only ones that have hyperthreading

From what I understand, the CPU can run two threads at once, helping it multitask better.

yes, with all current upgrades.
The mobo also supports dual-channel DDR, but I only have one stick installed right now...I don't know if that might have anything to do with it.

well considering it only has three dimm sockets I doubt that's the problem. Unless the memory itself is bad.

i assume you're not OCing? try disabling the onboard stuff, like usb2.0, and 1394.
